Michael Dukes MRICS (Chairman) Michael has been a partner since 1987 and is Chairman of the firm as well as heading up the residential division. Along with extensive day to day management and training matters, Michael is responsible for the largest residential office based in Taunton, which has an impressive turnover dealing with a wide range of new and existing housing in town and country areas and probably serving the widest client base of any agent in the area. Michael is also heavily involved in strategic town planning representing many clients in the area with land suitable for housing commercial or leisure use and is widely recognised for skills in matching developer and landowner aspirations. A pro-active negotiator, much of his work is now based on referral and recommendation. |

Neil Biffen FRICS FAAV Neil specialises in rural professional work with an emphasis on taxation, compensation and estate management. A local farmer’s son, he trained with the District Valuer at Taunton and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at the unprecedented age of 20 after which he worked in Exeter and East Devon. He joined F L Hunt and Sons in 1984 in Langport and became a Partner in 1986. Still based at Langport, he acts for a substantial number of private clients throughout the wide area covered by the GTH offices and is also familiar to farmers as a store cattle Auctioneer at the Sedgemoor Auction Centre. |

Derek Biss FRICS FAAV Derek joined WRJ Greenslade & Co in 1983 from Berry Bros in Northampton. A dairy farmer’s son from Castle Cary in Somerset, he trained at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester and was articled at RB Taylor & Son in Yeovil in 1978. Derek became an equity partner in 1986 at the age of 27. He heads up the farm sales department as a specialist live and deadstock auctioneer and spends up to 3 days a week at the new market. He is on the Arbitrator’s panel for specialist livestock valuations of all types. He is actively involved in carrying out TB valuations in Wales and is currently Chairman of the Western Counties Agricultural Valuers Association. In his spare time he manages his 160 acre livestock farm on the Blackdown Hills. |

Charles Clark MA (CANTAB) MRICS FAAV Charles Clark is a 7th generation Valuer and Auctioneer with strong West Country roots. Following a degree in Rural Land Economy at Cambridge University he qualified with Woolley & Wallis in Salisbury before joining GTH in 1984. Charles specialises in all aspects of rural valuation work including acting as a Single Joint Expert in many matrimonial and other professional valuations, also handling Landlord – Tenant issues in particular. He is one of the firm’s principal Property Auctioneers and also auctions twice weekly at Sedgemoor Auction Centre. Charles also leads the GTH team managing the 4,000 acres or so of Glebe lands in Somerset on behalf of the Diocese of Bath and Wells. Based in South Somerset, Charles is a Trustee of a large local Farming Trust and is also a Trustee of The Somerset Community Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged in Somerset. |

Graham Ford Graham heads the Development, Land & Planning division specialising in the disposal of residential development, land and property throughout the South West region providing planning and valuation advice to a wide range of clients including private landowners, banks and local authorities. Graham became a partner of GTH in 2000 following a 10 year period working in Exeter and Somerset County Council. Graham also heads the New Homes’ division, a specialist department, recognising the marketing needs of small and large developers. |

Tony Overhill FRICS FAAV Tony Overhill joined WRJ Greenslade & Co in 1989 as a Senior Assistant and became an Equity Partner in 1992 on the merger of WRJ Greenslade & Co and FL Hunt & Son. Initially heading the firm’s Farm and Land Sales division in Taunton, he moved to Tiverton in 1996 to open the first Devon office. His specialty remains Rural Agency, although he also undertakes a wide range of Valuation and associated Professional work including the preparation of Expert witness reports, planning appraisals and compensation claims. The son of a Kentish farmer, Tony takes a keen interest in all rural affairs, as well as enjoying part time farming, property renovation and sailing. |

Richard Webber MSc MRICS Richard joined GTH is 1996 having graduated from Seale Hayne Agricultural College with an honours degree in Agriculture followed by a Masters in Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural College. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998 and became a Partner with the firm in 2003. He is the Managing Partner of the Honiton Office and deals primarily with the professional valuation and sale of farms, equestrian property, smallholdings and land. |

Simon Havens MNAEA Simon joined GTH in 2000 and became a Partner in 2005. He specialises in Residential Sales and ran the highly successful Sherborne office for 7 years and has now heads up the Bridgwater office. Simon hails from Taunton and has been an Estate Agent in the West Country since 1988, dealing with all types of Residential property including New Homes. |

Justin Lowe MRICS Justin originally joined RB Taylor & Sons in 1995 and ran the firm’s Milk Quota Department. In 2001 he took over the Farms and Rural Property Department based at Yeovil and now deals with the valuation, sale and purchase of farms, equestrian, country property and land on behalf of farmers and individuals throughout Somerset and Dorset. Justin qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1990, became a Partner in 2003 and conducts the property auctions in the Dorset and South Somerset areas on behalf of the firm. |

Robert Venner BSc (Hons) MRICS FAAV Robert joined GTH in 1992 from Burton Knowles’ Gloucester office. Robert is the managing partner of Sedgemoor Auction Centre and actively sells at the market’s three weekly sales of livestock. Robert studied at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, where he obtained his honours degree in Estate Management. Robert became a partner of GTH in 2005. |

Jeremy Bell FRICS FAAV IRRV Jeremy is an experienced multi faceted Chartered Surveyor and Auctioneer, both heading up and conducting regular collective land and property auctions in the North Somerset area as well as being on the rostrum at Sedgemoor Auction Centre selling primestock cattle and calves every Monday. Jeremy also undertakes valuations for partnership dissolution, loan security, inheritance tax and matrimonial purposes regularly preparing Expert Witness Reports for the courts. Other fields of expertise include agri-business advice, estate management/residential and agricultural landlord and tenant, rural planning consultancy and rating appeals. Jeremy is the managing partner of our most northern office at Burnham-on-Sea. |

Duncan Brown FRICS IRRV Duncan joined GTH in April 2003 having previously been a Director of a well known Westminster based firm in Central London and has 23 years’ experience dealing with commercial property. He specialises in the acquisition and disposal of all types of commercial property including shops, offices, industrial premises, development sites and investments. He also has considerable experience in landlord & tenant negotiations, including rent reviews and lease renewals, and has acted as an Expert Witness in numerous arbitration, independent expert, mediation, tribunal and court referrals. In addition to this Duncan heads up the Valuation, Survey and Energy Assessments Departments. |
