Where is Bridgwater?
Located along the River Parrett, Bridgwater can be found surrounded by beautiful countryside including the Mendips, Quantock Hills and Somerset Levels.
A lively market town with a deep history going back to approximately 6800 BC, Bridgwater is host to the famous Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival. Once a significant port on the river, the town lead the way in industry in Somerset and even today is advantageously linked to surrounding areas via both the motorway and rail links. Bridgwater boasts the largest livestock market in the south west, held at Sedgemoor Auction Centre, and nearby you can also find the WWT Steart Marshes for bird watching or Burrow Mump for ancient history with stunning views.
