Where is Wells?
Sitting just to the south of the Mendip Hills and just 45 minutes from Bath, Wells may be the smallest city in England but has a grand and intriguing atmosphere being an UNESCO World Heritage City.
Holding its city status since the medieval times, and with the presence of Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace, there is a tremendous sense of history in Wells. Wells is a great base for exploring the surrounding area but has a lot to offer if you don't wish to go far. The ancient streets of the city include a local museum, lively markets in the Marketplace as well as a variety of independent stores.
