The December collective sale was the last machinery sale of 2020, which was held at Sedgemoor Auction Centre on a cold, fresh winter’s day, with all items being sold from the rostrum to ensure social distancing rules were adhered to. Each lot was displayed on a screen during selling. The sale saw a large variety of a good quality entry of agricultural machinery, including a number of tractors and mini diggers. Our new feature, Marteye, enabled online live bidding during the sale for both the machinery and tractor sections, which proved to be a great success.

The headline price was £5,400 for the JPM low loader trailer, closely followed by a Kioti Merchon 2200 reaching £4,600. Other top prices saw the Claas 870 (2012) 8 star tedder reach £4,500, a 12T Warwick trailer with silage sides make £4,500, a Spearhead Batwing topper reach £4,000, a McHale trailed bale wrapper (2004) make £3,900, a 1.7 tonne digger (with two buckets) reach £3,500 and a 160 Cleanafeed root bucket make £3,500.

Other machinery sold to £2,900 for a Twose 520 hedgetrimmer, £2,800 for an Estre PTO Mill (2011), £2,000 for an AS Marston rotary spreader, £2,000 for a Lucas 30R trailed straw chopper and £1,700 for a Teagle Tomahawk 8080 trailed straw chopper.
