An average of one cow was sold every 45 seconds ensuring that the 515 head catalogued went under the hammer in just less than 6 hours selling to 48 purchasers including 22 on MartEye from all over England and Wales.
The trade remained strong throughout with the autumn calvers creating the most interest selling to 2050gns for November calved Peak Altamento daughter that was served again to her second, a 2018 born red and white heifer by Pine-Tree Arbor Red ET calved in October 2020 and due again in September sold for 2000gns, with other autumn calvers to 1950gns and £1850 x 6. Fresh milk sold to 1820gns x2 for freshly calved heifers by Mr Moviestar Mardi Gras ET.
Heifer calves sold on the day by Melarry Frazzled sold to 380gns.
A tremendous combined effort from the staff of GTH and Denhay Farms Ltd and their hauliers ensured a very smoothly run sale with all cattle through the market and onto their new homes in under 48 hours.

The next two sale dates for the Estate are: Thursday 1st April 2021, the Dispersal Sale of the Milking and Heifer Calf Portion from Lower Beerlands and Meerhay Farm being 425 head and Tuesday 6th April 2021, the Dispersal Sale of the Youngstock Portion from Boar Barrows Farm being 550 head.
