The Lower Beerlands herd produced the top prices of the day with a February calved second calver by “BB Crossfire” at 2100gns and a Norwegian Red cow due to her second in November at the same price.
The fresh milk calved heifers were the trade of the day selling to 2050gns x3 for January, February and March calvers by “Ards Paramount” and “Mr Moviestar Mardi Gras”. All 42 calved heifers averaged an impressive £1837.
The autumn calved Meerhay herd sold to 1920gns x2 for cows due to their third and second calves in October.
Heifer calves by “St Gen Delta-ETA”, “Blondin Chili” sold to 430gns x3.
45 successful purchasers on the day made the most of the opportunity to select from 420 head on offer with cows travelling down to Cornwall, across to Wales and up to Cheshire.
