Flute from Dinnaton Tops at 2650gns

The annual February Collective Sale at Sedgemoor Auction Centre generated a smaller entry of quality milk combined with youngstock. The continuation of the Dinnaton Dispersal for Derek & Jeremy Dennis produced an excellent entry of fresh calved cows and heifers which averaged £1946.   They topped the sale with their MVP Lambda Flute calved heifer with a PLI of £465, off a Ex90 Dam giving 37kgs she sold into Wales.  Others from Dinnaton sold to 2150gns for Drafter Dreamer, 2000gns for Silver Drafter Andrea.  Peacehay Integral Fleur the calved heifer from David and Ian Chave sold fresh giving 35kgs with the potential to give 16 generations straight of Excellent and VG from this great family she made 2550gns and the Rubicon Airys 2280gns.   Other calved heifers sold to 2000gns for Dorset Farming Ltd’s Dorset Pepper Eclipse and 1900gns Gwaylodylade Jethro Sam for the Janes’s families continued dispersal.

Only a small number of cows forward on the day topped at 2000gns for the smart 2nd calver Clenchers Lambda Bounty 3rd GP84 from Rea & Son with PJ Andrews Beneknowle Dreamer Primrose 9th VG85 at 1920gns.

The day started with 50 heifer calves from JF Cobb & Sons which sold to 380gns x 5 for daughters of SHG Rainstorm-Red & Denovo and concluded with organic served heifers and bullers from AH Warren Trust with heifers served November by Wilra Abs Amplify and Glamour Boghill Victor to 1050gns x 4, bulling heifers by ABS Outback 820gns and others to 800gns x 9.
