The top call of 2900gns (£3045) was for a Rockset bred heifer from the Celicia which was shown as a calf by owner Peighton Robertson, Gloucestershire. Having calved with a super udder and giving 32kgs competitive bidding peaked at 2900gns from a local Bridgwater based farmer.
Always at the forefront of these sales the Bugler family from Bridport supplied the next 7 top prices from their Bettiscombe herd, all 2050gns or over with two heifers at 2300gns and the top priced cow at 2250gns selling to a combination of local and West Wales buyers.

The day started with 60 heifer calves from the Chalclyffe and Tappen herds. The top was from Nick Cobb’s Chalclyffe herd who saw great demand for his weaned calves to 420gns x3 for daughters of Hyperion, Luxor and Crimson, with the entire consignment of over 50 averaging £387.
Incalf heifers to 1380gns for Gordon and Fay Robertson’s ‘Steanbow Pacific Diamond’ with homebred heifers from the same vendor to 1350gns. Bulling heifers from PE Kings Ltd, to 850gns for a Provider daughter.
27 purchasers were recorded for the smaller entry of 200 head foreword, with buyers from all across the South West as far down as Cornwall, up to Worcestershire and across to West Wales creating the following creditable averages:
