Election Day saw the dispersal sale of breeding sheep and store lambs from Messrs F J Hayes & Sons at Cutcombe Market, with 1600 sheep going through the ring to a large crowd in attendance from as far afield as Northamptonshire and throughout the South West.

2T Exmoor Mule Ewes in particular demand, as were Exmoor Mule X Suffolk Ewes, with leading prices as follows:-

Exmoor Mule 2T £140, £138; Exmoor Mule X Suffolk 2T £130, £120, £115, £110. Suffolk X Lleyn 4T £98 x 2, 6T £88 x 2, 1st Yr FM £75, 2nd Yr FM £74. Lleyn 2T Ewes to £102, £100; 4T £90, £88; 6T £85; 1st Yr FM £90, £88; 2nd Yr FM £80, £78. Ewes had all run with the ram since 29th October and averaged £89.51 overall.

Store Lambs met a fierce trade, to average £72.62 and topped at £78 with others at £77.50, £77.20, £77. Lleyn lambs selling to £73.50
