The fresh milk sold to 2250gns for a British Friesian February second calver. Fourth calvers sold to 2150gns and 1900gns for an October calver.
British Friesians accounted for 18 top prices on the day. Norwegian Red crosses were also in demand selling to 1600gns x2 and 1550gns for February calved heifers and Jersey crosses to 1250gns x2.
British Friesian incalf heifers due April to the Ayrshire sold to 1600gns with a Norwegian Red cross at 1450gns and Brown Swiss “Sawcombe” bred heifers due September also at 1450gns.
February born British Friesian heifer calves by “Inch Dec” sold to 280gns x2.
