Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt report an excellent level of interest which generated 1550gns for a heifer that had calved a week with other fresh heifers to 1500gns twice. The cows also sold to 1500gns for a recently calved second lactation cow giving 25kgs.
The three year old Limousin bull that had been running with the herd sold to 1650gns to Warwickshire with others selling to Cornwall.
The incalf heifer trade was again fierce reaching 1500gns for a heifer due in September with others at 1420gns and 1380gns.
Youngstock sold to 660gns for bulling heifers and with 12 week old heifer calves at 320gns.
50 buyers were recorded from as far afield as Carmarthen, Cornwall, Warwickshire and most Counties in between to create the following average for all cows to include those in their 10th lactation and all those with faults.
