The Sedgemoor Auction Centre 2020 Collective Dairy Sales started in style with a tremendous choice of great quality cows and heifers throughout the catalogue of 200 head that was on offer.  The fresh milk on offer was exceptional, it was a real pleasure to walk through the stalls and through the pens of youngstock.  The entry was a credit to 25 different vendors who had consigned to the sale which topped at 2200gns for “Uphall Zeber Nosegay 343rd” a VG86 pointed 2nd calver giving 50kgs presented by DW & CE Jones.  Cows were definitely the strongest demand of the day with other 2nd calvers at 2150gns for “Bettiscombe Lineman Lindsey” from RE & HE Bugler & Partners, 2100gns, 2050gns and 2000gns for PE King Limited “Kingspool” and 2000gns for TR Quick “Mendip” and Lilylane Farms Ltd “Lilylane”.

Calved heifers, a slightly easier trade than December still sold to 2000gns for Kent vendors WG & TA Manford and their December calved heifer “Hinxden Dalliance Quince” with others for the same vendor at 1900gns as well as 1950gns for RK & SG Miller & Sons “Moorshard”, 1900gns DC Dennis & Son Ltd “Dinnaton” and RE & HE Bugler & Partners “Bettiscombe”.
