The collective section commenced with 30 heifer calves which sold to 370gns x 4 for JF Cobb & Sons and AR & HA Bristol. Followed by the fresh milk which topped at £2100 for Wigboro Watt Janny a March calved heifer from Cleave Farm Partnership who also sold March second calvers to 1900gns for Vanswood Jedi Heron. April third calvers from PC Pocock & Co sold to 1700gns for the homebred Newmead Mogul Birch.
Incalf heifers from GJ & FL Robertson due June to the Hereford sold to 1580gns for the homebred Dayhouse Penmanship Meg and 1500gns for Kingspool Penley Roma 3rd from the same vendor. Bulling heifers sold to 840gns for Kingruss Pickwick Fabian 7th Red for FAW Baker Kingston Farms Ltd.
The first dispersal of the day was the January to April calving portion of TI Miller & Partners Ltd of Stalbridge who are changing to Autumn calving. They sold commercial January calved heifers giving 39.6kgs and served again to 1900gns, March calved heifers to 1850gns with February second calvers served again and giving 47.6kgs at 1800gns and February third calvers to 1720gns. All 66 forward to included 3/4rd cows averaged £1426 and calved heifers £1550.
The second dispersal was for TH Bray & Son of Cornwall, their commercial non recorded herd that included Jersey and Jersey X cows met a good demand selling to 1200gns for the 6 year old cow by Quenton due to the Jersey in June and 1180gns for an April calved cow of the same age. 2016 born incalf heifers due to the Hereford sold to 1240gns, 1220gns and 1150gns.
