The Annual May Collective Sale produced a consistent milk trade and an electric youngstock trade.   12 milkers sold for in excess of £2000 to a top of 2150gns for Hinton Piston Daisette the April calved heifer from RD Horton & Son who sold other heifers at 2050gns, 2000gns and 1950gns x3, the Hinton consignment of 20 calved heifers averaged an impressive £1911.53.   Two ET Roxy heifers from Clevian for AJ Limond sold for 2100gns and 2050gns.  The last milker of the day was Clenchers Superstyle Doll from Rea & Son who sold for 2020gns.  A consignment of 24 spring calved 2 year old heifers from RC & JL Pickering & Sons of Kent sold to 1950gns x 3.

The sale commenced with a first time consignment of 8 organic cows from CD & SM Rawlings of Swindon which sold to 2000gns for the January calved second lactation cow by Lamar, with 3rd lactation cows from the same vendor at 1900gns.  2nd lactation cows from the collective section sold to 1950gns for Moorshard Cyprus Amanda (GP84) an April calver from RK & SG Miller & Son, 1900gns for Clevian Solomon Flora 3rd from AJ Limond and 1880gns for the commercial March born EDG Constable daughter from JE & SE Jeanes & Son.

The Holstein bull Swallowdale Secretariat Blackflower from CJ Elmes sold for 1700gns.  Autumn calving incalf heifers sold to 1500gns for JF Cobb & Sons Sep 2019 born heifer by Matcrest Dewey with others from the same vendor at 1450gns & 1420gns.  First time consigners Hanford Farms sold autumn pedigree incalf heifers to 1480gns for Hanford Yamaska Minnie, 1420gns for members of the Daisy family and 1400gns for a Mable.

Bulling heifers for the very last consignment form Peter & David Green Roundhillsfarm herd generated spirited bidding with purchasers making the most of the opportunity to secure their breeding.  Members of the Beth, Ramona & Star families topped at 1180gns each with others at 1100gns x 2 with the 23 heifers entered averaging an impressive £1003.43.   February 2020 born heifers by Overside Flinch ET from Woodbridge Farm Partnership sold to 940gns x 2.  The final entry of heifers from Wrackleford Farms Ltd sold to 760gns x 4 for yearlings.

A day with strong Welsh support generated a consistently good trade across the board produced the following commendable averages:-
