Churchill Speeches
We could all do with a morale-boosting lift at the moment. In the darkest days of the Second World War it was Churchill’s rousing public addresses that did the trick and, as the nation recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of VE day, it seems fitting that we will be including a six-volume set of Churchill’s speeches in our specialist Book Sale on 25th June.

Mod Hair Ken
After more than a month of lockdown many of us have hair issues. Should you be among those struggling to tame tangled tresses inspiration is at hand. Forget internet tutorials, what you need is Mod Hair Ken. Here he is, the epitome of ‘70s glamour. He comes with a fine crop of locks and a pack of flock facial hair that can be cut, sculpted and stuck in place to create the smoking-hot style of your choice. If you’d like to hone your scissor skills on someone else’s head, Ken will be coming up for auction in our Collector’s Sale on 25th June.

Not to be outdone by our Farm Sales department – who recently held a successful on-line machinery sale – we’ve lined up a couple of tractors of our own. With very few hours on the clock, and not a speck of mud on its bright blue paintwork, this 1/16 scale Fordson Super Major, by Ertl, is in show-stealing condition. To add it to your collection be sure to bid at our on-line internet auction on 25th June.

Adam & Eve
Would you Adam and Eve it? We’ve managed to squeeze in an extra on-line sale. On 25th June we’ll be show-casing a single-owner collection of early 20th century prints, mostly by artists associated with the Edinburgh College of Art. They include this engraving – of Adam and Eve – by William Wilson (1905-1972).

Enamel Bins
Before flour became a bankable precious commodity most people kept their modest household supply – and the bread they could make with it – in enamel storage bins such as these, which feature in our Collector’s Sale, on 25th June.

William Cecil
2020 marks the 500th anniversary of the birth of William Cecil, 1st Baron Burghley, the chief advisor of Queen Elizabeth I. That’s him, on the left of this picture, taken from Sir Dudley Digges ‘Compleat Ambassador’, published in 1655 and one of the lots in our forthcoming specialist Book Sale, on 25th June.
