East Devon Collective Sale

September 2022

The Inaugural GTH East Devon Collective Sale hits the ground running.

Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt were delighted to have held their first collective machinery sale at Newcott Farm, Yarcombe, Honiton this week, with the kind permission of the Parris Family. Despite two other local collective sales within 10 days, they were astounded by the support from local farmers, who filled the field with 35 tractors and vehicles, 150 lots of machinery and 200 lots of miscellaneous items.

A large crowd ensured spirited bidding with a huge number of buyers attracted to the sale field and on the Marteye bidding portal from across the entirety of the UK including Ireland.

Top of the day was £47,200 for the Fendt 724, £22,000 for JCB TM320S, £20,800 Massey Ferguson 5455 and £19,700 for a Fendt 510. Top prices within the machinery lines sold to £14,000 for a Kuhn Power Harrow, £10,600 Hi-Spec Slurry Tanker and £9,000 for the NC Dump Trailer.

The trade remains buoyant and all eyes are looking ahead to the next two collective machinery sales – 13th October at Sedgemoor Auction Centre and 21st October at Chepstow Racecourse. Whether you have one item or a whole yard, do not hesitate to get in touch for free marketing advice.
