Architect Completes 24 hour Run Challenge

Sleep deprived, but happy, architect Michila Wilks has raised more than £900 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance after running 50 miles in 24 hours.

Michila, Head of Architecture and Design at Greenslade Taylor Hunt, is a keen endurance competitor, but Hope24 at Newnham Park, Plympton, Plymouth, required a different level of stamina.
Runners could choose to run for 12, 24 or 36 hours during the weekend festival.

“It was quite a tough course with the first few miles mainly up hill and quite muddy. It was a great challenge, and I had set myself the 50-mile target. I did it and I would do it again!” said Michila.

In fact Michila is already looking to next year, hoping to improve on her placing. She finished 21st out of 84 female solo runners and was placed 69th out of 177, male and female competitors overall.

The air ambulance relies on support from the public to operate. If you would like to back this crucial cause please visit Michila’s fundraising page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/michila-wilks1
