Three auctioneers from Greenslade Taylor Hunt have aided Cancer Research UK to the tune of £5,248.18 with a successful cycle ride around the firm’s network of offices in Somerset, Devon and Dorset.

Andy Clements, James Wotton and Jamie Batt, who all work at Sedgemoor Auction Centre, North Petherton, swapped the sale ring for the saddle and cycled 230 miles around the GTH offices.

The money raised could purchase a diamond knife for slicing through cells so scientists can study what goes on inside tumours.

The three novice cyclists handed over the funds raised to Laura Rankin from Cancer Research UK at a ceremony at Sedgemoor Auction Centre.
