Announcing the news, Charles Clark, Chairman of Greenslade Taylor Hunt, said: “We are delighted that Graeme is joining the partnership. He is the consummate professional and his expertise together with his drive and enthusiasm has enabled him to help further develop and strengthen the firm’s professional services offering and expand our clientele, not only in Devon where he is based but also in Somerset and into Cornwall.
“Graeme established and chairs our Professional Services Committee and is involved principally in providing valuations for taxation and family matters, bank valuations, expert witness reports, and advice in relation to compulsory purchase, compensation matters, and renewable energy schemes. He also deals with the sale of agricultural property and land.”
On the business development side, Graeme will be overseeing the firm’s marketing department and is passionate about continuing to raise the profile of GTH’s comprehensive range of services.
Graeme said: “The professional, business and technological world in which we operate is rapidly changing. At GTH we strive to utilise our existing strengths to embrace these changes, and we will continue to use the opportunities these present to continually develop and improve our services to our clients.”
After gaining a BScEcon honours degree, Graeme undertook a postgraduate diploma in surveying, gaining a distinction, whilst working as a trainee surveyor with GTH. He then moved to Exeter to work with another prominent South West property firm, where he qualified as a chartered surveyor and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, and was made an Associate. Alongside his day job, he was appointed, by The College of Estate Management in Reading, as a tutor to postgraduate students, running the rural valuation module for a number of years.
In 2012 Graeme made the move back to Greenslade Taylor Hunt as an Associate, initially based at the Taunton and Sedgemoor J24 offices before returning to Devon at the Tiverton office, the ideal base from which to cover his expanding number of clients across the South West.
