Howard, who has been appointed residential manager at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Yeovil branch, is eager to begin his new role and make it a long term career move.

“I had always planned to work back in Yeovil when the right  opportunity came up. I know the area like the back of my hand. I am really looking forward to the challenge,” he said.

Howard has always had long-term goals and been keen to take on new challenges and opportunities. Initially he worked as a negotiator at Connells in Yeovil, regularly winning top salesman awards, he was promoted to assistant manager. When the market crashed in 2008 he became branch manager at Fox & Sons and turned a poorly performing office into a market leader and best in the region of 12 branches.

He decided if he could carry out such a transformation in the teeth of a recession things could only improve as the market picked up.

Career driven and eager to hone his skills he moved to West Sussex where, in a highly competitive market, he was responsible for three  branches. However the plan was always to return to Somerset and work in Yeovil.

He and his partner moved back to Somerset in September last year. Prior to landing his dream Yeovil job he was appointed to set up an estate agency from scratch in Wedmore.

Justin Lowe MRICS, Partner at the Yeovil office, said: “We are delighted and fortunate to have Howard on board who is an experienced  and very effective agent.”

In his spare time Howard enjoys playing golf, watching rugby, Formula 1 and trips to the gym.

He has an in-depth knowledge of the local property market, built up over many years and has worked in the industry for 12 years. For advice and a free market appraisal call into the office at 22 Princes Street,  Yeovil, or phone 01935 415300.
