Today we announce that GTH has acquired well-respected RMW Knight Chartered Surveyors and Commercial Agents.

The move strengthens GTH’s coverage of the West Country and will broaden its scope. Experienced Partners and staff from RMW Knight, with offices in Yeovil and Wells, will be joining GTH’s commercial and survey and valuation team.

Graham Ford, Chairman of Greenslade Taylor Hunt, said: “I am delighted that the Partners of RMW Knight will be joining Greenslade Taylor Hunt and look forward to working with them and their clients for many years to come.”

RICS qualified Partners from RMW Knight Philip Roberts, Jeff White and Tim Wright will be joining the Yeovil commercial team and enhancing the firm’s geographical reach.

They bring with them a range of commercial instructions in the Wells, Shepton Mallet and Mendip areas and a combined working experience of 140 years in the sector.

The acquisition will ensure clients of RMW Knight are able to access the broader range of services provided by Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

Indeed RMW Knight approached GTH as they could see the firm could fulfil the needs of their clients and offer additional services, while upholding the same core values as RMW Knight.

Philip Roberts BSc MRICS of RMW Knight notes: “I have long admired the GTH business model, offering, as it does, a wide range of property services, and being deeply rooted in the community in which it operates. A shared belief in the importance of professional integrity, loyalty to clients and colleagues, and striving to achieve the best possible outcome in business dealings, meant that it was an easy decision for me to open a dialogue with them. I am confident that this move will be to the benefit of our existing clients.”

GTH has 20 offices across Somerset, Devon and Dorset along with a branch in London. It provides a comprehensive range of services across the commercial, residential and agricultural sectors. In addition to agency the property specialists focus on chartered surveying, auctioneering, property management, valuation as well as having an antiques department and a well-regarded livestock division.
