Associate Chris Way is marking two decades with property specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt – and what an eventful time it has been!

Chris joined the team at Burnham-on-Sea in 2001 as Residential Manager just as the Foot and Mouth crisis took hold and closed the firm’s livestock market and now he has been steering the office through the challenges of the pandemic.

“Foot and mouth was not quite a pandemic, but it was a difficult time,” remembered Chris.

Residential sales have continued to happen throughout the COVID crisis and the Burnham office has followed the latest, stringent regulations to keep vendors, buyers and staff safe throughout.

Chris became an Associate with GTH in 2007 and over the years the Burnham office, under his stewardship has won a number of awards.

He is particularly proud of the accolade the branch achieved in 2018 when he was named top manager and his colleague Wendy Stockham took the top negotiator title for their customer service.

“It was a great achievement for one of the smaller branches in the firm,” said Chris.

The branch at 75-77 High Street, Burnham, is part of a network of 17 offices across Somerset, Devon and Dorset.

In his spare time Chris, who lives in Wells, is kept busy tending his large 1/3 of an acre garden. He is also a keen theatre and opera fan and is a friend of The Theatre Royal, Bath.
