Two members of staff at the Tiverton branch of Greenslade Taylor Hunt are celebrating after gaining their professional lettings’ qualifications.

Shona Medcroft and Caroline Thomas can now put MARLA after their  names – indicating they are members of ARLA - the Association of  Residential Lettings Agents – the professional body, which is committed  to driving up standards in the industry and providing the best service  to tenants and landlords alike.

Lettings negotiator Caroline said: “The qualification gives us all the tools we need to do a good job.”

While colleague Shona said it gave clients’ extra reassurance that they could expect a professional approach.

Both have been juggling studying with working full-time, but are delighted their hard work has paid off.

Property legislation is constantly changing and membership of ARLA Propertymark ensures that members keep up-to-date with the latest legislation.

Crucially ARLA Propertymark protects consumers and their money by  holding members accountable and empowering customers with knowledge and advice.

The professional body aims to reassure all of those renting and letting out property that agents who display the ARLA Propertymark  Protected logo offer a better service and financial protection for their clients than the alternative.

Sonia Matthews,FARLA MAPIP MNAEA, who heads up the Lettings Department at Greenslade Taylor Hunt across Devon, Somerset and Dorset, said: “Both Caroline and Shona have worked extremely hard on passing  their exams, which has shown with their impressive pass rates. They form part of a very strong lettings team in our Tiverton office, further enhanced now by having two fully qualified ARLA members. I would like to congratulate them personally as I know how much this means to both of them.”
