A team of six from our Land and Planning and Marketing departments competed in the 31st Annual Soroptimist Swimathon at Taunton School to raise money for Citizen’s Advice Taunton, Somerset Sight and St Margaret’s Hospice.

The team donned their goggles and swam for a total of 53 minutes straight, taking it in turns until the clock ran out. The swim took place in relay fashion, taking it in turns to do 50 metres at a time. When the final whistle blew, the group managed a total of 53 lengths.

The Swimathon is an annual fundraiser, aiming to support charities within the community. It’s raised over £630,000 for a variety of causes since it began in 1988.

Fundraising is still open for the event. Please see our fundraising account for more details - https://www.gofundme.com/GTHStarfish
