The site, close to the village centre at Cleave Hill, extends to about 1.3 acres (0.5 hectares). In June 2021 Torridge District Council granted detailed planning permission for six homes, together with associated access, parking and landscaping works. It is subject to 10 conditions.
The proposed development would provide a mix of house types – two two-bedroom semis, a three-bed detached home, a four-bed detached property, a four/five bed detached dwelling and a five- bedroom detached residence.
The existing access to the North East from Cleave Hill will be for pedestrians only, giving a more direct route for residents to walk to the centre of the village. The proposed vehicle access to the scheme will be from the current access to the South East from Cleave Hill, which will exclusively serve the new development of six dwellings.
It is for sale by informal tender and the agents are quoting a guide price in the region of £200,000. The deadline for the submission of offers is 12 noon on Friday, August 20.
A number of viewing dates will be available for interested parties, however these must be booked in advance.
They are due to take place between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on July 28 and August 4.
