Food Outlets Breathe New Life into Shopping Centre

November 2022

Two new tenants are moving into a Taunton shopping centre broadening the food offering at the complex.

Unit 12, County Walk Shopping Centre, which overlooks the busy Sainsbury’s car park, has been empty since electronics specialist retailer Maplin moved out four years ago.

Joseph Hughes MRICS, Associate of Greenslade Taylor Hunt, who has overseen the deal, said: “
Appetite for smaller units, particularly from independents and food based businesses, remains robust despite challenging economic times. We are marketing a number of retail opportunities at various price points which should appeal to a wide range of clients."

Kaspa's Desserts and Döner & Gyros will both operate from the prominent position following work to subdivide the premises, which extends to 4,762 sq ft (424.4 sq m)

The busy location is also home to a number of major national retailers including Subway and Costa Coffee and enjoys regular footfall of 220,000 people a week.

Commercial specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt were quoting a new lease by arrangement at £45,000 per annum.
