Owners Steve and Sandy Poingdestre are looking forward to spending more time with their 11 grandchildren after a lifetime in the hospitality business.
They have run successful Kenella House, Tregonwell Road, Minehead, since 2002 and before that ran a pub and hotel.
Kenella House has maintained an AA 4 Star Gold Highly Commended rating for the past 15 years and Sandy has been a finalist in the “AA Landlady of the Year” award.
She said: “It will be a big wrench. We are going to miss it. Every day is different and you get to meet such lovely people.”
Over the Easter break the business has welcomed repeat visitors for a stay at the attractive guesthouse, which is prominently located close to the town centre and the seafront.
Many guests come from abroad attracted by the excellent walking in Exmoor National Park and beyond.
