Property partnership Greenslade Taylor Hunt has an enviable reputation for its wide-ranging expertise in residential, commercial, agricultural and planning work across the Westcountry.

However, the firm does far more than focus on the South West. In recent weeks it has sold a listed London property and woodland near Reading.

The London project required detailed planning consent to change the use of a particularly attractive terraced stucco fronted listed property at St Georges Square in Pimlico, London, SW1.

GTH’s development land and planning department worked diligently to gain listed building consent and change of use permissions to turn the offices into a family home before the building was sold on to a private buyer for residential use for a figure close to £4M.

The building extended to 5,900 sq ft arranged over lower ground, ground to fifth floors with two terraces and a potential roof garden.

A delightful parcel of sloping and mature broadleaf woodland occupying a sheltered position, lying to the south of Reading Golf Course was also sold by the firm via online auction.

There was a good deal of interest in the land, which extended to 1.34 acres (0.54 hectares) and bidding soon exceeded the guide price of £25,000 with a final sale price being achieved of £37,500.

Justin Lowe MRICS, Partner with GTH, explained that the vendor is a long-standing client of the firm and has sold a number of properties through GTH by private treaty, tender and now online auction.

“The vendor was impressed with the amount of interest we created and clearly delighted with the end result as has now entered further properties for sale online in 2021,” said Justin.
