Following on behind was another Red this time from one of the favourite Red and White bulls of the moment, Rubels. She was bred from a VG87 heifer and her 3rd Dam was Blondin Redman Siesme EX97, consigned by Logan Holsteins, Scotland, the successful purchasers at 4900gns were the Harris family from Winkleigh, Devon.
A show heifer that is destined to be seen out next year if Covid allows, achieved 3400gns for Lucy Jones, Showgirl Impression Sara was freshly calved with an impressive pedigree and boasting an Ex95 sister selling to Ireland.
Two more Red & Whites at 3200gns were Winkleigh Swingman Promis and Stowey Jordy Rainbow. Four breeds were represented in the sale with Brown Swiss to 2000gns for Kedar Glenwood Songbird whose third dam was Snickerdoodle and immense interest for the two shorthorns catalogued which sold to 1600gns for a three week old heifer calf, Cotonhall Thompson Lady Barrington with another calf, this time a Jersey from Cornwall, achieving 750gns.
With a flurry of bidders and on lookers keeping an eye on the biding site in the final hours buyers were recorded from across the breadth of the UK & Ireland to produce the following averages:
