Taunton - Planning Consultant Development Land and Planning

Due to our continued expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Consultant in our busy Development, Land & Planning department in Taunton. This is a demanding role in a busy environment. You will be working amongst a dedicated and vibrant team of Planning Consultants and Architectural professionals based in our Taunton Office. 

Some of the main duties include: 

  • Supporting on individual workload and cases
  • Carry out detailed research and local plan work including representations
  • Support the preparation and submission processes for planning applications to include Planning Statements and all associated documentation
  • Support the creation and submission refusal appeals

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience in a similar role, with 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Understanding of residential, commercial and agricultural planning
  • Relevant qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to lead and influence others

This will suit a dynamic forwarding thinking individual who is currently working in a similar role who wants to embark upon a new and interesting role.
