James Nelson
Development Surveyor
James joined GTH in September 2020 after 3 years working for CBRE in Bristol. He works alongside Graham and Mark, specialising in all aspects of development work, including development agency, consultancy, valuation and strategic land. James is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate having graduated with first class honours from the University of the West of England in 2017. James grew up in Taunton and is delighted to be back at GTH, where he undertook considerable work experience over several years before moving to Bristol and starting University. Outside of work, James is actively involved with the Somerset Carnivals, being a member of Harlequin Carnival Club from Ilminster, and is also involved in Scouting.

The holding deposit is non-refundable if the tenancy does not go ahead due to the tenants providing false or misleading information, pulling out or failing the right to rent check. Details will be put in writing to the tenants within 7 days of the application not proceeding.
GTH are regulated by the RICS in regards to monies held by all parties and are members of the Property Redress Scheme.
- Holding deposit; equivalent to one weeks rent. This payment will be deducted from the first month’s rent or paid back to the tenant via bank transfer once referencing has been completed and a tenancy start date agreed. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
- Late payment of rent; 3% above the Bank of England base rate which, after 14 days can be backdated to the day rent was due.
- Any alternations/variations to the tenancy agreement; £50.
- Early termination fee (with landlords consent); £360.
- All charges are inclusive of VAT.
