*NB THIS PROPERTY IS GOING TO BEST & FINAL OFFERS CLOSING TUESDAY 17th MAY AT 10.00 AM*
This striking period property is of brick elevations under a pitched tiled roof and enjoys double glazing and gas fired central heating. The current owners have recently remodelled the downstairs to create a fabulous open plan kitchen/dining room with newly installed Wren kitchen and utility. Also on the ground floor is a dual aspect living room with open fireplace, W.C., study and sun room. Upstairs are three double bedrooms with master en-suite and a family bathroom. Outside are larger than average front gardens and to the rear is off street parking for two vehicles. Space allows for extensions to the side and front (STP) if required. The real selling point of this property is the proximity to the village centre and the size of the gardens which are rare in such a central location and can only be fully appreciated when viewed.
The village of North Curry is one of the most sought after in the Taunton Vale and the property is within walking distance of the centre where excellent amenities include a village store, post office, public house, primary school, coffee shop, hairdressers, Doctors surgery, playing fields and cricket pitch with pavilion. North Curry is found close to a number of other villages and small towns, including Curry Rivel with several convenience stores, excellent pub and a little further away is the historic town of Langport with further day to day amenities. The County Town of Taunton lies in the opposite direction. It is easily reached by the A358 and provides a good shopping centre and excellent schooling, including Kings and Queens Colleges, Taunton School and Richard Huish College. Just an 11 minute drive from the house is the M5 Junction 25 at Taunton, providing access to Bristol and Exeter, both hosting international airports. Taunton also enjoys a mainline rail link with a direct line to London, Paddington which is only a 16 minute drive from the house.
To the rear is a private drive with the space for two vehicles. The main gardens lie to the front where there is a sun terrace adjoining the dining room, perfect for alfresco dining and summer entertaining. Two well established raised beds give closure and a garden path leads to a predominantly lawned garden, contained within mature hedgerows, creating a great deal of privacy and seclusion. A pergola leads through to a kitchen garden with a number of raised vegetable beds, green house and garden sheds. There is scope to create additional parking here, subject to the necessary consents.
