Chard Area Guide

Where is Chard?

Geographically being the highest town in Somerset, and located cosily between the counties of Dorset and Devon, enables Chard to have some of the most striking landscape views of the surrounding countryside.

Chard is the second largest market town in Somerset and has a great history, including the claim of being the birthplace of powered flight. It offers an active high street with several leisure clubs and shops and there are plenty of charming places to visit nearby with all the family. Conveniently located on the main London to Exeter route makes Chard ideal for commuting for work and leisure and perfectly it’s less than a 30 minute drive to the coast.
