Even with the uncertainty surrounding Covid 19 when we asked just purchasers to attend and take the necessary precautions, those that did produced a good trade through out with 15 over £2000 to top at 2120gns for AJ & C Martin of Basingstoke.

The mainly summer/autumn calving herd saw a number of volume buyers keen to take the opportunity to secure August and September calvers ahead of time. Top of the day at 2120gns was for the August calved heifer back incalf to sexed semen for August and still giving 30kgs.  At 2050gns were two second lactation cows by Laurelhill Classic due in September & October. A further 8 cows to 2000gns.

The undoubted trade of the day was for the 88 July to October incalf heifers who topped at 1600gns for an August calving heifer by Stantons Brayden, heifers by the same sire, Mozeralla and Amax also made 1550gns seven times. The consignment averaged £1424.  

Bulling heifers sold to 840gns x2 for Outlast and Mozarella daughters with 8 month old heifers to 780gns.
