AK Hosie & Sons LTD Machinery Sale

August was a busy month for the GTH Farm Sales team with several on farm machinery sales, ending with the AK Hosie & Sons LTD Machinery Sale at Sandhills Farm, Sherborne on the 23rd August.
Totalling over £600,000 with only 52 lots, the sale was described by auctioneer, Tom Mellor, as a sale of ‘quality over quantity’.
The sale saw purchasers from Yorkshire, Kent, Monmouth, Reading and everywhere in-between, creating the following headline prices. The top price of £75,000 went to a Krone Big Pack 1290 HDP Square Baler, followed by a (2018) Case Optum 270 CVX Tractor, which sold for £67,000 and a (2015) John Deere 6140R Loader Tractor, which sold for £52,000.
Other notable prices included £46,500 for a (2019) Massey Ferguson 7720s Dyna 6 Tractor, £43,500 for a (2021) McHale Fusion 3 Round Baler/Wrapper, £34,500 for a (2017) New Holland T7.190 Tractor and £33,500 for a New Holland Baler 890.
