Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt report an exceptional crowd for the on farm dispersal of 350 Jerseys, Crossbreds and Holsteins at Hamwood Farm, Trull for Charles Stanbury.

Volume buyers from Scotland, Leicestershire, Cheshire and Cornwall together with a strong local and welsh support generated a consistent good trade throughout.

The August calved Holstein “Hurlands Super 892nd giving 15kgs topped the sale at 1550gns. Jersey’s from “Maunlake” calved in May to their second lactation sold to 1350gns and August third calvers to 1280gns. The British Friesian Crossbreds sold to 1200gns for March calved heifers giving 17kgs.

Commercial incalf jersey heifers PD’d 3 – 4 months to the Aberdeen Angus sold to 820gns x2. Commercial maiden jersey heifers born May and July 2018 by “Jennys Jellybean” sold to 410gns x2.

The three Jersey heifer calves catalogued sold to 135gns for the four week old “Sowden TK Marthus” daughter.
