Trade was extremely buoyant throughout to top at 2150gns for a June calved second lactation cow that was giving 35kgs who sold to a purchaser from Carmarthen. A crossbred second lactation cow giving 40kgs was close behind at 2100gns, with a further four over £2000.
Good demand was seen the whole way through the catalogue and calving pattern with a lot of interest in the crossbred with both the Norwegian Red Crosses and the Fleckvieh Crosses standing out.
Buyers from across the whole of the South West of England, a number from Wales and up to Shropshire created the following excellent average for all the 205 animals forward on the day inclusive of all ages and with all faults of £1406.
