Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Devon agricultural team has expanded with the move of James Wotton MRICS FAAV to GTH’s Honiton office, joining Partner Will Handel MRICS FAAV to boost the firm’s Devon reach.

For three years, James has been Somerset-based at Sedgemoor Auction Centre, qualifying as an agricultural surveyor whilst with the firm. The move sees James return to his home county of Devon, expanding GTH’s rural services department in South and East Devon.

James brings a range of rural professional experience, acting mainly for agricultural clients and specialising in grant funding opportunities, BPS, rural planning and utility compensation, as well as valuation and tenancy matters. In the past six months alone, James has secured in excess £500,000 of capital grant funding towards agricultural businesses for production and diversification projects.

Whilst expanding the Devon rural professional services, James shall continue as an auctioneer at Sedgemoor Auction Centre selling calves and fodder, as well as continuing as a member of the farm sales machinery team.

Welcoming the move, Will Handel, Partner and Head of Agriculture, said: “I am delighted that James has joined our Honiton office.  He is well known to many already in the area as a result of his weekly involvement at Sedgemoor Auction Centre and his experience further strengthens our already busy agricultural department.”
