K & M Bond & Son continued their dispersal and topped Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s March Collective Dairy Sale at £2047.50 for their second calver “Birchwood Aventador Olive 93rd” with other second calvers at 1720gns, 1680gns x2. A more selective trade saw a Bettiscombe January third calver at 1850gns for “Bettiscombe Supersire Sweet 2nd” giving 50 kgs, others from the same Vendor to 1750gns and 1700gns x3.

Calved heifers sold to 1780gns for “Moorshard Outfitter Finesse 92nd” for RK & SK Miller & Sons and “Bettiscombe Megaman Naomi” for RE & HE Bugler & Partners. Others to 1750gns for Cleave Farm Partnership, J & S Rea & Son and K & M Bond & Son.

Incalf heifers sold to 1200gns for KR & MK Powell and bulling heifers to 780gns x2 for PE King Ltd. An 8 month old yearling heifer from BL Davies & Son sold for 650gns for “Davlea Landslide Marie” 24 month old British Friesian bull from Tortworth Estate Co. sold to 1550gns for “Morcourt Rollit” and 1500gns for “Davlea Playman” BL Davies & Son.
The trade of the day was undoubtedly for the heifer calves for JF Cobb & Sons with exceptional PLI’s which sold to 470gns x3 for daughters of “Abs Jeronimo-P” and “Matcrest Dewey ET” and averaged £409. Crossbred heifer calves from GV Sparkes & Sons sold to 160gns x4.
