Trade topped at 2250gns for a fresh third calver by “Panamero”. Other third calvers to 2100gns x2 and second calvers at 2050gns with older cows selling well. Cows due to their fifth in September at 1750gns and those due to their sixth in August at 1450gns.
The two year old calving heifers averaged an incredible £2055. Topping also at 2250gns for a “Cottonabbotts DG Netflix” daughter. Others at 2150gns, 2100gns and 2000gns x3.
A flying incalf heifer trade topped at 1700gns for another “Netflix” daughter due May to the Aberdeen Angus stock bull and a “Seagull Bay MJ Applejax” due August to the same bull. September calving heifers by “Applejax” sold to 1650gns with all the incalf heifers calving around two years of age the trade held right the way through.
The youngstock were the trade of the year to date with bulling heifers by “Mr Rubi-Agronaut” at 1120gns and yearling heifers by “Boghill Glamour Achan” at 1050gns. September born heifers by “Mr Spring Nightsky” sold to 880gns and “A” lot heifer calves sold to 700gns for a “Crackholm Fever” granddaughter.
Strong online bidding combined with a good company of buyers in the ring produced the following excellent averages:
