The Dispersal Sale of the Commercial non-recorded Organic Crossbred PWAB dairy cattle for RV Edmunds & Son Ltd on Tuesday 25th May generated a trade at new high levels with all 30 calved heifers sold averaging an impressive £2145.50. No less than 40 lots sold for in excess of £2000 to top at £2625 for the Fleckvieh X April calved heifer giving 29 kgs. Other March calved Fleckvieh X heifers by “Minor” and Rotberg” sold to 2300gns x4.

Fleckvieh X fresh second calvers sold to 2400gns with Swedish Red X’s at 2350gns. Fresh milk was the strongest trade of the day with February calved second calvers at the end of the catalogue at 2250gns. Fresh fourth calvers sold to 2000gns, fifth calver at 1600gns, sixth calvers to 1450gns and 7th calver to 1300gns.
Fleckvieh heifers 6.5 months incalf to the Aberdeen Angus sold to 1520gns. Others at 1400gns, 1380gns and 1350gns.
