Topping the day at 2200gns was the calved heifer Vanswood Canonpower Porthilly from the Cleave Farm Partnership she had calved in June and was giving 36kgs and followed the top priced cow travelling back to Pembrokeshire in West Wales. Not far behind at 2150gns was MKJ Reed & Son’s fresh calved heifer Beaconhill Soloman Maddie out of two gens of VG Dams. Other calved heifers 2020gns “Vanswood”, 2000gns “Beaconhill” and “Birchwood” K & M Bond & Son (Dispersal).
The day included the dispersal for TT & HS Barber from Dursley Gloucester, cows sold to 1720gns for Fortune Dreamer Cornelia 2nd who had calved to her 3rd in July and calved heifers to 1700gns for the June calved heifer Fortune Malvern Marie by Kirby Malvern. Their incalf heifers topped the day selling to 1520gns for Malvern Shirley 2nd due October others sold to 1500gns and 1420gns.
Collective incalf heifers due from Dec to Feb from JF Cobb & Sons sold to 1280gns x2. Two bulls forward from Dimond Farming Ltd sold to 1600gns for the 14 month old Dorset Fame by Delaberge Pepper and out of the Fawn family.
Bulling heifers from the “Allerways” herd of RA & SA Reed sold to 840gns x4, with British Friesian heifers from DJ & WM Warren of South Molton to 820gns x2. Yearling heifers also from “Allerways” sold to 800gns x4. Heifer calves from JF Cobb & Sons to 480gns x8 with a further three to the same money for the Cleave Farm Partnership.
