Southtown Farm, West Pennard was the location for the dairy herd dispersal of PH Creed & Son. Their 9,000kgs QMMS recorded herd attracted interest from across the country and produced 6 cows at over 2000gns and the best commercial average of the year to date. 34 successful purchasers on the day came from Cornwall, across the South West, Wales, Cheshire and Staffordshire with many more leaving empty handed.

The quality of cows on offer produced an electric trade for the fresh milk topping at 2100gns for an April calved 2nd lactation cow by Ballycairn Tiergan and giving 43kgs. A June 2nd calver by Coldsprings Gamer sold to 2050gns as did another April 2nd calver served again in May to Wiltor Dandy, with a November calved commercial Ayrshire 2nd calver at 1680gns.

The incalf heifers continued the good trade topping at 1400gns for a Co-op Cryptonite daughter 7 months incalf to the AA.

The herd had gone flying in recent years resulting in only 5 heifer calves catalogued and selling to 380gns for a Bomar Dali Devil daughter out of an Elsmead Dolly heifer.

Auctioneers GTH were delighted with the attendance at the sale and the following averages that were achieved:
