Buying at Auction
Viewing
All sales are on view at The Somerset Auction Rooms, Sedgemoor Auction Centre, North Petherton, Bridgwater, TA6 6DF on the morning of the sale from 8.30am.
Catalogues
Available to buy at the Saleroom on sale days. They can also be found on our online auction calendar and the-saleroom.com.
Registration
In order to bid you will need a buyer’s number. Simply bring along two forms of ID to register - a driving licence is ideal, plus a utility bill or official document showing your current address.
Sale Day
Antiques & Interiors Sale: Viewing starts at 8.30am until 11.30am when the auction begins. Jewellery, Silverware & Watches Sale and the Collectors & Selected Antiques Sale: Viewing starts from 9.00am until 10.00am when the auction begins.
Unable to attend?
Simply leave a commission bid with us and we will try to purchase on your behalf at the best achievable price, or a limited number of phone lines are available for you to bid via telephone if you cannot attend the auction.
Buyer's premium
A buyer’s premium of 19.5% plus VAT is added to the hammer price of all lots purchased.
An additional 4.95% plus VAT will be payable if buying online.
Collection
Once accounts are settled purchases will be released on presentation of a receipted invoice to a member of staff. We request collection within seven days.
Postage and Delivery
Unfortunately, we are unable to pack and post items but can recommend delivery specialists. We can also recommend a local haulier for the delivery of furniture or larger items.
