Rural surveyor relocates to North Devon
April 2025
Harriet Pike MRICS FAAV who trained at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Sedgemoor office is branching out to support the rural community in North Devon.
Rural surveyor Harriet now divides her time between the firm’s Barnstaple and South Molton offices providing a comprehensive range of rural professional services.
“Coming from a rural background, I have always been involved with the agricultural industry in one way or another and so by becoming a rural surveyor was a natural step that would keep me in touch with the agricultural industry, enabling me to help advise farmers and landowners on their property and land assets,” explained Harriet.
Greenslade Taylor Hunt, which has been in the property business for over 180 years, has an established network of 17 offices across Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
Harriet’s appointment will strengthen the firm’s North Devon offering, where she will work alongside Richard Webber MRICS, the longstanding Partner in charge of the South Molton office.
Richard said: “We are delighted to have Harriet back at GTH. Harriet has gained extensive experience covering a wide range of rural matters and will be able to provide an important and comprehensive professional service across North Devon.”
Harriet’s areas of expertise include rural agency, environmental grants and subsidies and estate management. She is also well versed in landlord and tenant matters alongside formal valuation work, including RICS compliant “Red Book” valuations – a comprehensive and unbiased assessment of a property’s market value conducted by a qualified surveyor.
Away from work Harriet enjoys a range of rural pursuits and is a keen sportswoman, playing hockey and taking part in tug of war.
