Auction proves perfect spot to buy birthday gift
September 2024
A savvy husband found the ideal gift for his wife’s landmark celebration when he bought a three stone diamond ring at the Somerset Auction Rooms, Junction 24, North Petherton.
The beautiful, three stone brilliant cut 3.1 carat diamond ring, hallmarked Edinburgh 2017, attracted interest online and in the room.
However, the private buyer emerged with the sought-after ring and secured it for £7,404 – a very special 50th birthday present for his wife.
Another husband bought an old European cut diamond solitaire ring for £5,430 for his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.
Now is an excellent time to realise the value of your unwanted gold and silver items. Getting advice from a trusted auction house with years of experience in the trade could mean a higher valuation and sale price rather than relying on the “cash for gold” market offered by online platforms and distant dealers.
The auctioneers at the Somerset Auction Rooms can provide tailored advice on your precious heirlooms and forgotten pieces that may be cluttering up your home.
Your unwanted gems could provide joy for someone else, and a cash boost for you!
Traditionally the run up to Christmas is a very good time to visit the saleroom, whether you are buying or selling jewellery.
So instead of heading to the High Street check out the unique finds at the Somerset Auction Rooms. Just off the M5 at Junction 24 there is plenty of free parking on site.
The October jewellery sale, which also features silver and watches takes place on Thursday, October 17. The auction begins at 10am. The auctioneers are currently accepting entries for this event.
To find out the value of your items why not book a free, no obligation, valuation with the friendly team of experienced valuers. Valuations can be booked, Monday-Thursday, 10am-4pm, by calling 01278 410250.
