Experienced Chartered Surveyors join Team
April 2023
Leading property partnership Greenslade Taylor Hunt has just taken over the professional practice of Geering Chartered Surveyors. The firm served clients across Devon and Cornwall.
Rupert Geering has joined as an Associate and Chartered Surveyor, and his colleague Lloyd Smale becomes a Consultant with Greenslade Taylor Hunt, which has a network of offices across Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
Graeme Biffen, Partner at Greenslade Taylor Hunt, said: “Rupert and Lloyd bring with them a wealth of experience across residential and commercial property valuation, as well as other general practice professional work.
“They will be based principally out of our Tiverton and Exeter offices, helping to service existing professional work as well as expanding our geographical reach westwards further into Devon and Cornwall.”
Rupert is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, and has been in the property industry since 2001. Until recently he was part owner of a busy estate agency based in Crediton which let, managed and sold residential, commercial and agricultural properties across the county.
He is an experienced property professional with a range of qualifications in Residential Sales, Lettings and Block Management, as well as a Diploma in Law.
He said: “I am looking forward to being able to enhance the service I am able to offer my existing clients in Devon and Cornwall and provide them with the opportunity to tap into the wider range of services provided by GTH.”
Prior to commencing his career he was due to embark on an undergraduate degree at Cirencester, but a stint of work experience at an estate agency blossomed into a flourishing property career. Now he is combining work with completing an MSc in Rural Estate Management at The Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.
In his spare time Rupert enjoys surfing, running and has three children and a dog, Nellie, a Jack Russell cross with a Norfolk Terrier who keep him on his toes!
Lloyd Smale is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer. He has worked for the District Valuers office in Devon and Cornwall and in private practice. He is regularly asked to appear as an expert witness in property matters.
The pair can be contacted at the Tiverton office of Greenslade Taylor Hunt on 01884 243000.
