Land with detailed permission for homes
January 2025
The opportunity to build four houses close to the Gravity Enterprise Zone where a £4 billion gigafactory for the production of electric vehicle batteries is being constructed near Puriton, Bridgwater, is being marketed by development land specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt.
In November 2024 Somerset Council granted detailed planning permission for four open market homes on the land at Springhead Farm, Middle Street, Puriton, and the demolition of an existing barn. The planning permission is subject to 20 conditions.
The permission also included the conversion of an existing barn, which is excluded from the sale. The proposed homes will be designed to feel like a group of traditional barns. Two of the plots will have single garages and two will have double garages.
The site, in total, extends to approximately 0.33 hectares (0.81 acres). It is offered at a guide price of £400,000. Submission of offers, on an unconditional basis, must be received by 12 noon on Friday, February 7.
There is a chance to view the site on Thursday, January 16, or Thursday, January 23, between 9am and 11am, or other dates by prior agreement. Viewings must be pre-booked and the site must not be accessed unaccompanied.
