Newmead Dispersal of Robotic Milked Cows

Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt were delighted to be favoured with instructions to disperse Philip, Olive and Melanie’s “Newmead” herd following a long association over the years having both sold cows for them and to them.

A rare opportunity to acquire robot milked cows resulted in a great demand drawing purchasers from West Wales to Cheshire specifically for them. The July calved heifer “Newmead Alcove Peronelle” topped the day at £3097.50 with the August calved “Alcove Birch” close behind at £3045. Other calved heifers from the “Tess” family sold to £2835 and the “Klara” family to £2782.50.

The cows sold to £2625 for the second calved “Altazarek Sonja GP80” and £2572.50 for the March calved second lactation “Altaleap Rosie GP81”.

The 11 incalf heifers due October to December were in strong demand topping at £1942.50 x2 for the “Bloomfield Drambuie” and “Altareverse Peronelle”.
