Attractive courtyard development proposal

The opportunity to create a select rustic residential scheme close to Sherborne for five open market homes is being offered by development land specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

The site at Ciderhouse Farm, Sigwells, near Sherborne, has outline planning permission to create five new build open market homes.

The design of the development is a rural, courtyard comprising of five, four-bedroom properties. The site extends to 0.51 hectares (1.26 acres). It is on the market at a guide price of offers in the region of £800,000.

Mark Chugg, who is the head of the development land and planning department, said: “This is an exceptional site in a rural location within close proximity to the A303 and Sherborne.”

Class Q prior approval was granted in January 2020 for the change of use and conversion of two agricultural buildings on the site into five open market homes.
In January 2023, outline planning permission was granted for the demolition of the existing agricultural buildings and to build five open market homes.

Each property is designed to embrace its rural setting. Plot 1 (Farmhouse) is a detached, two-storey home. Plots 2 and 3 (Stalls) are link-detached one storey properties. Plot 4 (Parlour) is a detached one storey home and plot 5 (Hayloft) is a detached 1.5 storey home.
All the properties have private gardens, covered car ports for two vehicles and two allocated parking spaces.

Submission of offers must be received by 12 noon on Friday, July 14.

A series of view days is taking place at the site on Thursdays, June 15, 22 and 29, and Thursday, July 6, between 9am and 11am.
